Those who wish to join the BYPCC 2026 need to apply for an audition to ensure that their skill level is suitable for the camp (approximately Trinity College London grades 5-8). The live audition will be held at the Eduprogress Education Center (Phloen Chit) on 15 March 2026. Alternatively, applicants can submit a performance video for their audition through an online platform. Twelve participants will be selected to join the camp and will be assigned one or two concerto movements to prepare prior to the camp dates.

During the camp, the participants engage in various coaching sessions and workshops to polish their concerto skills, and rehearse with the conductor and chamber orchestra to prepare for their final public performance at the CU Music Hall, Art and Culture Building, Chulalongkorn University.

The concertos selected for the camp are works written for pianists in the developmental stages of their craft. The works are carefully chosen based on their educational value and accessibility for younger musicians. The approachable level of technical demands allows participants to concentrate on collaboration and musicality, which lie at the heart of collaborative performances.

• When the audition results are announced, each participant will be assigned 1 or 2 specific concerto movements to perform in the final concert.

To apply for the audition, all participants need to submit their application online and prepare a program of two works of their own choice (the difficulty level of which must be a minimum of Grade 5 Trinity College London exam, but the works do not need to be exam pieces). Both works must be played from memory and omit repeats (except for “da capo” and “dal segno” indications). The program should demonstrate a variety of styles, periods, and characters.
